LOS ANGELES, CA: Glam-pop artist Julianne Glass is releasing her newest single “Ghost.” The dark, synth-pop song combines a haunting vocal performance, pulsating bass, and crystalized sounds while featuring lyrics that express confusion and anger due to a romantic partner cutting off communication without explanation. “Ghost” is set to release worldwide on October 11th.
Julianne Glass is an LA-based musician who is redefining glam-rock and pop by creating songs that effortlessly blend upbeat and modern pop sounds with a nostalgic 80s pulse. “Ghost” is Julianne’s second single to be released this year following her first glam-pop single, “Validation Station.” The title for Julianne’s upcoming release, “Ghost,” is a pop-culture reference that describes someone who has ended a relationship by abruptly ceasing communication while also ignoring their partner’s attempts to communicate thereafter.
Julianne’s description of intimate memories she shared with her partner, including a night out dancing at her favorite 70s bar to taking an evening cruise on Mulholland Drive, combined with an uninhibited expression of frustrating and painful feelings she experienced gives the listener an honest insight into who she is as an artist and as someone recovering from a breakup.
Sonically, “Ghost” is driven by a thumping bassline, dynamic vocal arrangements, and polished synthesizers in the vein of the Stranger Things soundtrack. The glam-pop song was co-written by Arista Records signees AZTX and produced by pop production-duo LYRE. In regard to creating the song, Julianne says, “I was really proud to have written a left-of-center pop song with AZTX. When I took it to be produced by LYRE, the goal was to maintain its core as a pop song while adding just the right amount of glam flair to it. I think that we collectively ended up making a fantastic song and I’m so excited to put it out into the world.”
Following the release of “Ghost” on October 11th, Julianne will release the IGTV music video shortly after.
